Put away the duduks and mandolins
Catch the train to the east
Feel the breezes in your tenses but
Think how he made those vectrals sing
Think how he made –

Drink the best ales you can my friends
Refuse to sing for England
Take the words you need for now but
Leave his language in the fields
Leave his language in –

Let the rain soak through you
Clasp each other’s hands
Stand up for all the broken lines but
Never forget his fountain of curves
Never forget his –
